The Philippine Islands Travel

This is know as a jeepneye. It looks like a school bus and a jeep hybrid. The original idea came from taking old military jeeps, using the front of them but adding extended seating in the rear. With heavy duty springs on these jeepneyes... many carry 'top-loads' hehehe... which can be persons, animals or just bags of rice or corn. These jeepneyes and smaller versions called multicabs are the backbone of transportation throughout the Philippines.
