| Shanrgri-La Beach Resort is Located on Lapu Lapu (Mactan) Island in Cebu. from the Cebu Metro area you can either take a taxi and pay about 300 pesos or take a V-Hire from either SM or Ayala malls for about 15 pesos going to Opon Lapu Lapu...from Opon then a local multicab (small size jeepney) for only 6 pesos going to Punta Engano....Shangri-La resort is about 1/2 mile past the tourist spot locally known as Mactan Shrine or also called Lapu-Lapu Monument. Tell the driver to stop at Shangri-La and you can walk along the walkway up the hill to the resort. | ||

| Now the resort is considered to be a 5 star hotel and resort so it will cost more than most other resort in Cebu. I believe they had rooms for two starting at around $75 u.s. per night. The resort itself is great. The swimming pools are beautiful and the lay out of the grounds are spectacular. They even have there own private 3 hole golfing area. They have 3 different outdoor restaurants that are situated right over the oceans for great sunset views. | |||

| If you like diving they also have a dive shop there and there own Banca boat to take you out. There are a couple of marine sanctuaries within a 30 minute ride by boat from the resort. | |||

| As with any 5 star resort the restaurants were a little pricey but the food was great and there buffet for $10 was more food than I could ever eat in a week. In all, it is a great place to visit. | |||

| They did have a day use fee of around $15 u.s. and that allows you access to the whole resort. Before checking in, just ask if you can look around the resort first...I am sure you will find it an amazing place to be....it definitely stands out as one of the top resorts in all the Philippines. | |||
