| Because of corruption or even the belief of corruption the Philippines has always had problems throughout their history. There have been many coups attempts in the past. The Philippines is known as the # 1 Christian Asian country yet it is also #1 in corruption. This picture was taken when the Philippine marines prepared to storm the Manila Peninsula Hotel in 2007 where rebel soldiers and a Senator had taken over and was calling the military to overthrow the Presidency. The coup attempt failed. |
