Here is the Beer Barrel Saloon.  Every afternoon and evening there are live bands playing here.  I always try to go there in the evening. They usually have a band/ comedy act playing from 8:30 p.m. until midnight.  This is definitely a great place to visit.  It is right around the corner from the grocery store and is connected to Tippers Restaurant.   4 stars !!! As you leave the park and head into downtown Put-In-Bay the first place that will attract your attention is Pat Dailey's Bar and Grill.  It has a bar inside as well as indoor and outdoor seating.  Great food and good drinks.  Make sure to stop in before you leave the Island.

This place here is called the Board Walk.  It is a good seafood restaurant.  Also on the side there are smaller boats parked along the wall.  Here is were you want to go.  Catch a ride from a boat called Sonny S.  This will take you to Middle Bass Island.  It is $7 round trip.  Middle Bass has a turn of the century winery (Lonz Winery) that you can eat at and visit ( $3 per person for a tour and free wine taste testing) as well as two great bars within walking distance from the docks.  Also along the boardwalk there is a boat there that will take you Para Sailing out in Lake Erie.  That is where they pull you behind a boat and you have a parachute on.  Pretty cool !!

Along the lake front dividing all the restaurants and the harbor is a beautiful outdoor park. You can get carry out and eat here or just relax and take in all the things going around you.  They also have here bathroom and shower facilities. Here is the actual Put-In-Bay Harbor.  Usually there will be a lot of boats parked here.  Here along the shoreline you can do some perch fishing in the summer months.  It is a nice place to walk.  Also there will be a big boat called the Jet Express that will take you round trip to Port Clinton on the Mainland to sight see. There is another boat here called the Rocket.  This boat will take you to Cedar Point which has an amusement park and water rides there.

Now, on Middle Bass Island there are two bars/restaurants.  As you leave the boat turn left and walk along the road there that goes around Lonz Winery.  The first place you will come to is a Bar called JF Walleyes.  It is ok.  Stop by and check it out.  It does have it's days.  There is a sand volleyball court out back.  Also right as you get off the boat there should be a blue van there with the name Saint Hazards on it.  This is the other bar on the island.  I personally liked it better.  One, you can either walk past Walleys bar another mile about a 12 minute walk or wait until the van picks you up from the boat landing and takes you there.  Either way make sure you go there!! Well I hope you have enjoyed my Lake Erie Vacation Adventure.  Please continue to the next page for phone numbers and web site addresses.  Be sure that if you do leave the island that you check on what time the last boat or ferry will be leaving to take you back.  It would really ruin your night to miss the boat and end up sleeping on a bench or in some ones back yard.  They tell me it happens all the time.  If you go to Middle Bass to visit the Winery or the Bars check with Sonny S schedule to see what time his last trip back to Put-In-Bay is.  The Millers ferry I believe has 7:30 p.m. as there last trip from the mainland to South Bass Island.  E-mail me with any questions.  This is my 5th visit to the Islands and I love it more each time.
